Wheeling in creative circles.
Massing in tight bundles of energy but never colliding.
Dropping down suddenly to land. Murmuring in raucous
cries.
Who is leading these death-defying acrobatic choices?
Where does the communal inspiration to change direction
come from?
We gaze in mesmerizing wonder, sensing spectacular
freedom.
We as women long to experience such intuitive and
instinctual connection and collaboration!
Join us in exploring creating a murmuration in our unity.
We will seek to grow our individual and collective strength…
discovering an emergent wisdom so needed in the world.

Like starlings, we are packing up to go home today – to fly back to our homelands. I recall that I wrote these lines over a year ago as a dream idea for a retreat. To call in women interested in a program that was not solely going to serve individual growth but would focus on communal learning.
YES!
It has happened. Something new begun.
We go home from this mountain retreat, and we have experienced within us an emergent wisdom that has been woven through song and beauty into our bones.
Nature abounds in collective communal stories. This week we have been mesmerized with the wisdom of the Holy in a flight of birds. Science has also recently been awing us with facts about the underworld significance of the mycelial networks of forests – the wood-wide web.
Whether in upperworld collective movement and/or in underworld darkness, or lost in the fog of middle world, we are each in a living story of movement - together.
My and our challenge today as we head to our homes is to continue to live from this mystical perception of community as a powerful presence, both seen and unseen. Timeless in many ways – evolving over generations of intimate connections. Community as a constant. Always present and waiting to guide us through often invisible relationships that sustain, surprise and seamlessly intertwine us with Mystery’s ways in the world.
Oh! There is so much more to learn about soulful community. As a 75-year-old who has forever been championing and birthing community, I feel I am a beginner to this deep wisdom that is emerging into conscious awareness for such a time as this.
Friends – join me in a commitment to this inchoate sense of connectedness that is embedded in our spiritual DNA and often buried alive by the egoic stressors of everyday life.
Where does the communal inspiration to suddenly change direction come from?
